There were many reports this week stating Rivera wanted a fourth year. It appears that Rivera will be just fine with the 3 years offered from the Yankees. For the first time in his career he tested the open market as a free agent. He has been with the organization since 1990. He along with Derek Jeter, recently re-signed Jorge Posada, and Andy Pettitte are the only holdovers from the championship years ('96, '98-2000). He currently ranks third on the all-time career saves list with 443.

The greatest closer of all-time will finish his career in the Bronx, which should make many fans proud. The end of the game still belongs to Mo and no matter what the price...he's still the best at what he does. Not a bad job by the Yanks top honchos. Posada,Rodriguez, and Rivera are back in the Bronx, now things should look a lot better for Pettitte to come back..the last missing link.
